Eastnor Castle Deer Park Fri 27 - Sun 29 September 2013

If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

Eastnor Castle Deer Park Fri 27 - Sun 29 September 2013

Post by Jillygumbo » Mon Jul 01, 2013 9:02 pm

OK guys I know I haven't told you about the last Eastnor Castle meet (see below) but here I am planning the next.

I've just had the go ahead from the Estate Office for Friday 27 through to Sunday 29 September 2013. Cheap as chips, well £6.50 per unit per night provided we get more than 10 units.

Note that the only facilities are taps and tanks (CDP) - but look at the views! Fires off the ground are accepted - and look at the views!

If people can bring logs to burn that would be helpful.

Also if anyone has an event shelter/gazebo type thing? Just in case. I have a cheap gazebo from Argos but it's so heavy it hasn't been out of the box! I could bring it if someone else wants to put it up, take it down, and take it home with them!

Names so far:

1. Jillygumbo BF, CC, WC, SM (firepit owner)
2. Bob - BF (ozpig owner)
3. Muzorewa BF

5. Caz SM CC WC
6. Moonshadow WC
7. Karen1910 + 1 WC
8. Cas SM
9. Jo123 CC

Hi Jilly
Neil & I would love to come!
Neil's been there before for Mountain Mayhem on his bike. Non stop rain and whole thing turned to quagmire. This was pre-Bongo and I was working that weekend so it'll be my first time to Eastnor.

What are favoured 'loo options' for wild camping/no loo facilities? Last weekend I heard of Norwegian Army toilets which look pretty neat.

Meanwhile, enjoy sunshine!
