If you do one at the end of May, I may be able to join you - ha ha the pun!
I'll be travelling down the M6 from Scotland on Sunday 26 May (BH) - any chance of that weekend?

How's the 26th May as Tackeroo 5.5 sound?
Who's tempted?

I need to check the calendar here as well. It's easy for us as we are lazily local

We may be able to make the meet now Hembrancho (Andrew) didn't realise the dates had changed either and said he too might try to come.
Will let you know nearer the time if we'll make it. Keeping my fingers crossed

Yeah, sorry, didn't realise the dates had changed. We have got a couple of things on that weekend also, but might be able to squeeze a brief visit in, maybe overnight on the Saturday. Will confirm closer to the time.umbongocat wrote:We may be able to make the meet now Hembrancho (Andrew) didn't realise the dates had changed either and said he too might try to come.

new to takeroo
i just have a few questions about takeroo as we have not been to one of these meets yet 1st do you have to book this one-2nd do many camp over night ie-sat night sunday as we have to go and look at new puppies in sandon on the saturday so would be good to stay and meet up with people after 3rd is there anything special you need to bring as i have seen that there is no toilets. we have not been without electric yet so don't know what to bring. thanks jayne+jason
Re: new to takeroo
It's a zero facility site with no loos or power or shop etc. there's no need to book as the ranger comes round and collects the cash, I think it's £15 per night and £3 if you are day parking. I think more people camp now than turn up for the day meet. There's a link at the start of this thread that gives lots of info. You'll need a porta loo etc if you're camping or staying for most of the day. Plenty of vegetation about but lots of people asjayne wrote:i just have a few questions about takeroo as we have not been to one of these meets yet 1st do you have to book this one-2nd do many camp over night ie-sat night sunday as we have to go and look at new puppies in sandon on the saturday so would be good to stay and meet up with people after 3rd is there anything special you need to bring as i have seen that there is no toilets. we have not been without electric yet so don't know what to bring. thanks jayne+jason

There is an Elsan disposal point, and a tap. But that's all
