We must be nuts but thanks so much everybody who turned up and to those that helped it was a godsend. It was a really nice, if not slightly chilly weekend.
Great to see some new faces/usual suspects and also be able to put faces to names finally. Hope everyone gets home ok. It's not the weather it's who you're with and you couldn't find a nicer bunch of tough northerners to be snowed in with.
Fire's lit now, hot chocolate and the dog's defrosting, bliss Hope to see you again soon, love to Ian and Marianne x

I'm reminded of that immortal line of Brian Hanrahon's, reporting from the deck of a Harrier carrier in the Falkands War. Confined by the demand for secrecy, he said:
" I'm not allowed to say how many planes joined the raid, but I counted them all out, and I counted them all back. Their pilots were unhurt, cheerful and jubilant, giving thumbs up signs."
Welcome home, you brave souls. For the rest, and from the history of this event, I'd say beware the ides of March. Maybe, each leap year, we should swap southern softies summer slot with tough northerners, so these courageous and deserving veterans can take a break, and visitors can enjoy the great beauty of the north in warmer weather.

Well that was, erm, chilly. Ideal preparation for our next tour though.
We were delayed because Muzette had swimming practice on Saturday morning. So what did she do as soon as she arrived on site? – Go swimming. And again Sunday morning
A few photos from Team Muz....
Tough Northerners in vests alright, camping in this
Oh well, we’ve been here 15 minutes, best get the barbie going
I said this was a tit but Mrs Muz says it’s a bullfinch
Hmmm, this is more like it
Oh yes!! – Barbied sirloin steak butties – never mind the icicles Mrs
Sunday morning and time to survey the scene and see which hardy souls have survived the weekend
