barge inn at pewsey

Post by Northern Bongolow » Tue Jul 26, 2011 2:26 pm

as we are going darn sarf to the reading meet organised by cat this weekend =D> =D> , we thought we would stay on in the area, so we have booked the barge inn at pewsey for the monday/tuesday nights, anyone got nothing better to do is welcome to join us.
going to do the stone circle bit and maybe stonehenge, crop circle hunt, etc.
they have a few places left.
if you do a search on here its been done several years ago by the southern area so should be a good one.
book direct with the site manager if you fancy.
(sorry dont do the linky stuff, but its on the net.)

Just checked the prices, looks like it's gone up a bit since last time I was there, £15 a night for a camper with no hook up, looks like everyones trying to cash in on the camping boom. Sure it was only £5 a night last time we went - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 35&t=33654

Hopefully there's a bit of common sense involved then  If there's temporary toilets, it can only be an improvement on what was there before the UFO destroyed it

Yeah it's gone up some but they have improved the bogs and rebuilt the barn for music so it's much better but still a bit fringe an' "Off the gird" with the barge folk nockin about, enjoy!

Quite jealous, was hoping to organise something for this campsite in the autumn, but struggling to find suitable dates (me not them).

Unfortunately, I can't take Monday off, otherwise I'd join you. It's even closer than Reading for me!
