Re: Anglesey Meet June 4-6 half term
Well what a fabulous weekend, very many thanks to DebbiePritch who should be working for the Anglesey tourist board. Brilliant weather on Saturday made for a really enjoyable, informative and exhausting tour of the Anglesey highlights.
A few pictures from Team Muz.....
Nelson’s statue in the Menai Strait
This is what England expects, not sure about Wales....
Muzette in charge of catering again
The Britannia bridge (A55)
Saint Mary’s church as in “The church of St. Mary in the hollow of white hazel trees near the rapid whirlpool by St. Tysilio's of the red cave” malarky
Modern cave paintings under the Britannia bridge
A new appendage on top of hogggman’s Bongo
Up the Marquess of Anglesey’s column, some wonderful views from up here. Mrs Muz is an orange blob...
The double-decker Britannia bridge
The ticket office....
....with a photographical DebbiePritch and a Mrs hembramacho, amongst others
The Strait
Bongos
Telford’s original crossing. Apparently, newlyweds come here to have a picture taken
I’m not sure the locals knew whether they wanted a shave or haircut
Lunch stop at the Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch fish bar....
....enjoyed by all
A relic of Stevenson’s original rail bridge

“I’m going to be a film star one day....”
Apparently the maintenance workers had to access the bridge through the channels underneath
One of the four lions. Shouldn’t that be three lions?
A rather camp lion with pink lippy
Under the Britannia bridge
Surprise surprise, Muzette fell over and needed magic cream
Llynnon Mill at Llanddeusant, the only working mill on Anglesey
Llyn Alaw
Strange party games
The familiar evening smoke at Bongo-camp. Or have the Munkies just arrived?
Seen on top of Shelly’s tent Sunday morning....
....while most people were still asleep
Now come on guys, can’t you have place names that are easy to read
Finally, Ynys Gored Goch, the island in the middle of the Menai Strait, from the Anglesey side....
....and from the Bangor side....

Re: Anglesey Meet June 4-6 half term
Truely a legendary weekend. Debs - Brilliant. The whirlwind mystery tour was a blast the company was Top Notch & my guts still ache from laughing far too much.
Pesky Muz seems to have pretty much the same pics as us so can't offer much in addition. But I'll throw a few in all the same.
Anglesey is great - Even the toilets smell nice.
115 steps up that twirly monument tower. Each one bigger than me.
A select few of us made our way to the 4th lion, done up a bit like Eddie Izzard holding a bunch of flowers
Next to Eddie were a couple of properties in need of a little TLC
With an indoor garden
Then on to windmills old . . .
& new
2AM & the kids want to crash out
