Welding..

Post by PollyDarton » Wed Apr 17, 2019 8:33 pm

Hi All, an Epic Fail on my MOT due to the cross member needing welding and the sills / arches needing doing has meant I am in desperate need of a good welder or I need to scrap my beloved Bongo. We are in the middle of a renovation and have no money so just trying to work out what to do... I bought her for £3450 last year.... Help and advice gratefully received. X

Worth talking to Allan's Vehicle Services, Plymouth.

Sorry to hear of your problems, but I'm sure it can be sorted, and welcome aboard.

There's a full list of welders in the "Rust Directory", which you will find in the factsheets section of membersonly bit of BF website
668. The Neighbour of The Beast.

Thankyou! Thinking I will buy a new cross member for £135 and a set of sills for £95 on Ebay.
Will look at the directory.
Thanks

Buying the parts is a good idea if you are fitting them yourself, you can save a good bit of cash that way.
