Post by bongoing-mad-simon » Thu Jan 08, 2009 10:15 pm

Updated on 6th May

hi all thought i'd give you chance to decide wether you would like to go to woodlands 8-10th of may .
unfortunately woodlands have hoiked up their prices from £35.00 for the weekend to £57.00 for the same.
this price is still cheaper than standard for 5 people, if you are still interested or not, let me know. If 10 or more are definite, i can put this event on . if not, then i'll try and find a new venue. i know that 3 are definites including my self.
this meet is from fri 1pm to 6pm on the sunday price includes bongo +awning , tent or caravan+awning and up to 5 persons ,electric, dogs and full admission to woodlands adventure park for the 2 1/2 days
see http://www.woodlandspark.com/ for park details

We had considered coming along this year as Woodlands sounds like good fun. Unfortunately there are only 2 of us and £57 is too much for two nights camping in early May. Credit crunch and all that.

Good luck with organising it, maybe we can come next year (as long as they don't put the price up again  )

Love to but £57 is very expensive for just 2 people, 2 nights. Mind you my son and granddaughter loved it, so it depends if they can make it.

Hi all , so far things seem to be as I thought with many thinking that the weekend would be too expensive. I was very dissapointed upon finding out the 2009 prices, as I imagined the meet not going ahead .so far though ,there has been a good response for so early in the day and so it looks as though the meet will go ahead . On thinking about it myself I realised that Although the price is £22 more than last year it does still offer good value ,for families especially, For a family to go for the same weekend not as a rally booking it would cost £95-00  . £60 would only allow my family in to an adventure park for a day. As soon as there are 10 definnites I will book the rally . :D

Certainly agree with you Simon. For a family it is good value, and it's a great venue for sure.
