Re: New Year meet at Looe
We got back a while ago after making a detour via Salcombe for fish & chips, & then cross-country to avoid an accident on the A303. We had a great time in Looe & it was nice to spend New Year with such a good bunch of people. Looking forward to seeing you all again at the next meeting, or maybe even next weekend at Shepton Mallet.

Our thanks to everyone . This was a really enjoyable and companionable few days just what was needed to make us positive about 2009. For those who stayed at home it was quite chilly but with no rain not bad at all. The worst part was the drive home 6 1/2 hours but our talk about the meet kept us awake and happy.

Re: New Year meet at Looe
Thanks to all who made this our first and very successful New Years Meet. In spite of the artic conditions we all managed to gather in small huddles and have a chat during the day, only retiring to our vehicles to warm up before venturing out for another chat. Each evening was very enjoyable with some notable events. Our first night was Bingo night and our group winning a few of the prizes on offer, one couple in perticular, winning a line and two houses.
On the 30th we hastilally organised a supprise wedding anniversay for Bob and Lin who were celabrating 27 years together that day.
New Years Eve turned out to be very entertaining with a notable performance by Paul [boyfrombrazil] and Gem [chris&gem] on the karaoke machine. The following day most of the gathering decided, because we were enjoying each others company so much we would stay another night.
We also had visits from fellow bongoliers who had prior commitments, Tim, Jill & Sam, Simon Heaton and family and Bill & Phil.
Thanks also goes to site owners Steve and Lene for their usual first class hospitalitly.
Roseanne and I wish you all A Healthy, Wealthy and Happy 2009
PS The group photo which Haydn took will be posted as soon as he sends it to me.

We're home now and already depressed. If you thought it was cold in Looe, try living in the frozen wastelands of the Midlands,it's bloody freezing up here. Thanks all for a cracking few days looking forward to meeting up with you all again in 2009.
