Hi all
I am looking for some advice…
I made a problem with my bongo 2.5td, 3 weeks ago…
On the diagnostic box I connected the +B (switched battery voltage) with the GND (Ground)…picture below the connection i have made is the orange ligne.
I had 1Second of inattention and boom…
As the result I heard like a fuse blown…from that point I could not start the engine…it was working fine 10 minutes before this mistake…
I have done the diagnostic few times before with no problems…
In both scenario the engine fire but doesn’t start…
1-No feed to the glow plug
The fusable link from battery (tested for continuity) ok
glow relay ok.
2-feed to glow plug
Fusable link replaced with a 30amp fuse.
Glow relay replaced with a 70amp fuse.
I have checked the fuses all ok
-under bonnet fuses
-fuse box on the lower right-hand dash
Any ideas, solution or where to start looking for the issues will be really appreciated, thanks in advance.

The 30 Amp fuse middle row left will have blown this is the engine control circuit hence your problems;
Replace the original glowplug fusible link, a 30 Amp fuse there will immediately pop when the above fuse is replace!!! It has to handle a very large surge current in the order 60-100 Amps hence the reason for a fusible link and not a normal fuse.

hi g8dhe,
thank you for your speedy reply...
just back home, went strait to change the fuse you advice to...
the bongo start strait away...
i have spent 2 weeks trying to figure it out
it took me less than 2 minutes, following your advice
i thought that i have checked all the fuse at least twice... but next time i will remove them one by one to check if there are ok...
lesson learnt...
(i have a Glow Plug Indicator flashing, i will open a new post once i read the error code...)
thanks again for your help...

If you have an error light flashing, give the vehicle a run and a couple of starts there is a good chance the ECU will reset itself unless you really do have another fault present.
