Hi have a 1994 Ford Spectron (Bongo re-badge) and the idle has been fluctuating quite a bit, especially during warm up.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the idle control valve but have had no luck in sourcing a part here in the US.
Any of you have a good resource for finding this kind of a part? Or if you know of any shops in the Seattle area who will work on these JDM vans?
Erik

It should fluctuate as it warms up.
Depending on coolant temps under 10 deg c fast cold start activates, until the coolant temp measured at the fan switch near the starter motor reaches above 10 deg c.
Then it does a half increase in revs until about 50 deg c when all are off.
This rev control is done via the cold start solenoids.
Do a search up on here for topics with title cold and start and solenoids (the and is important when searching). It's done via the vac solenoids and vac pipe and diaphragm on the pump.
Don't use throttle peddle while starting it will switch off the heater/ glow plugs if the revs go too high as it thinks it's warmed up
