How high is too high?

Post by madge808 » Wed Feb 24, 2021 8:41 pm

I'm looking at buying a bongo this week, it's a fresh import from very reputable dealer. Petrol 2005. The body work looks tip top and it's been fully undersealed. My only worry is that it's 198,000 KM (about 120,000 miles). Obviously prices are high at the moment so I would say it was a steal but I am just wondering how high is too high when it comes to mileage. Would you buy at this kind of mile count?

Hi. 8)

I'd say that mileage would be 'high-ish' for a 2ltr petrol, but nicely run in for a diesel, no worries for a V6.

If it's had regular servicing I wouldn't worry, though.

Fully agree with Bob my Km's is currently standing at 247,705 registered in 1997 came in to the country with 71,861 on it :-) Distance really isn't the problem, good regular maintenance is the important factor and undersealing when first brought into the country.
