Identify coolant pipe

Post by texasholden » Sat Aug 22, 2020 2:46 pm

Hi

Hope I'm posting in right place, its my 1st time!!
Got a '95 2.5 TD.
I've had a coolant pipe develop a small hole in it which got really bad last week whilst camping. AA came out and did a repair job on it but need to find the part and replace it.
I've got a copy of the coolant system plan with the part numbers but cant for the life of me tell which one it is.
Basically its located under the passenger side, pretty much between edge of passenger door and the sliding door.
Have attached a picture and the plan. Its the flexible one with the coolant dribble and connected with together with the jubilee clips.

If anyone can help would be great! I thought it would be a straight flexible pipe but none of the ones in the plan look straight

Many thanks

Mark

Try this page and then select according to engine type, the page you showed is for the air con cooling pipework not the engine coolant pipework.

Hi. :)

Mazda dealer, or Bongo savvy garage?

I ask because most Mazda dealers won't touch Bongos as grey imports.

The plan that Mazda gave you is for the heater pipe work, they are correct these pipes carry coolant and can leak.

Does the rubber hose that you are looking at go onto a metal pipe ???

There is coolant around the engine and refrigerant around the air con system, the picture showed a repair to the engine coolant pipes I thought, including a drop of red coolant on the surface ?

I cannot remember right but looking at the pick I don't think they would put a rubber hose just inches away from the exhaust, so I think it is a bodge repair to the steel pipe that maybe should be there, that's why you poss cannot locate the hose.
Just guessin.
