Hi, I’m looking for advice on removing the complete AFT roof,
My original one I damaged when I raised the roof with the motors with the struts removed and the roof folded back on itself!
I have now acquired a spares van with a complete roof attached, what is correct way of the removing and refitting the complete section? Can you do it without removing the motors, but the main thing is how do raise it and fit the struts without damaging the roof again!
As I live in N Ireland there is no specialist over here, so I’m a bit stuck, I wonder if anybody could help?

Re: Advice on aft roof removal
Workshop manual states
Close roof
Disconnect battery
Remove the front top ceiling
Remove the tent
Attach hangar set (hoist / crane)
Remove auto free top unit mounting nut. Remove the auto free top unit (3 at front 3 at the back per side )
Remove the auto free top hinge mounting nut (back 2 nuts)
Remove the the auto free top stay damper mounting nut (nuts 4 and 5 when counted from front)
Hoist out of way
Reverse to install
Weight is 65kg
Hope this helps, there is a diagram of the nut positions but I suspect they are fairly obvious looking at it anyway along with my rough description
