Sound of the wind

Post by jockodipunto » Thu Mar 12, 2020 9:29 pm

Good evening everyone - i think I have a wind problem.

A few weeks ago we had the exhaust back box replaced as the pipe at the end rusted and dropped off. Ever since then there has been an odd wind type noise from within the cab.

It is a difficult sound to describe as it is not a hissing noise but sounds like a window is slightly open but the sound is definitely coming from the engine bay and on the passenger side. I have done a visual check and undertray is in place and weather seals and stuff don't seem fowled.

Also the sounds rises and falls with the accelerator pedal and is not audible when idling. I have read through the forums and suspect exhaust manifold. The no.1 stud is in place and feels tight but do you think I am looking in the right place?

Any thoughts, observations welcome.

Cheers
