Issue with Bongo, mechanic needs part. Not sure what it is! Temp sensor?

Hey all!

Had some issues with my V6 van. Was working perfectly and then couldnt get it started correctly when I woke in the morning.
It would start and then continuly cut out unless throttle was given. Also an extreme lack of power and possible misfire/rattling on the 70 mile journey back at 40mph.

My mechanic started with replacing things like HT leads, distibutor cap, rotor arm and the likes. Seems it still has a problem.
He has asked for a part I've posted below. I can only seem to find an aftermarket one. He says its an engine temp sensor but I'd imagine those are tiny. This appears to be a 'Fuel injection idle air control valve (https://www.carid.com/standard/intermot ... ac260.html).

Has anyone had similar issues? Ive sent him info on diags using the flashing light..etc.
Is this the correct part for V6 petrol bongo? Should I suggest somthing else?

sorry can't help with that part doesn't look like anything I've seen or read about on here but to be fair mine is a diesel. That said your fault sounds like an air leak in the injection system. has your mechanic checked all the obvious places for air leaks as it seems unlikely that a component would suddenly fail overnight. Look for cracked air intake pipes, air hoses, vacuum hoses fallen off, perished. sorry i can't be more helpful

The V6 Engine temp. sensor (coolant) is 18-840C, this feeds the ECU.
There is also a Temp gauge sensor that feeds just the dashboard display 18-510
