Hi all,

Just an update here. We have managed another 600+km and 7 days after we realised that the battery wasn't charging. We charged up the starter battery overnight with electric hookup and that gave us a start in the morning. If we stopped anywhere, I would physically swap the leiey and starter batteries and the starter would charge on solar. I would swap back before starting the van again.

Just posting this as it was very stressful worrying about whether the van would die on me. I think as long as your alternator is giving a bit of current it's enough to run the basic electrics.

Thanks to Ian for sending me out a working alternator to Switzerland. The rest of the journey is hopefully stress free!
