Turbo boost

Post by porkie » Sat Aug 31, 2019 11:18 am

Hello, looking for some help.I have a 2001 diesel bongo.I have just had the turbo recondiioned, but not working when i drive. There is a solenoid with 2 wires to it.This has a problem at the earth side.If i give a constant earth to it turbo works and light goes out on the dash.Does anyone know what the issue might be.Thank you.

There is a lot of discussion on possible problems here viewtopic.php?p=670663#p670663
it sounds like the vacuum valve that operates it all might be having a problem, I think most of the vacuum valves are all operated by applying an earth from the ECU to operate them as needed.

Thank you for the reply.Yes it appears that the issue is the earth.I assume as you say the the earth side of it comes from the Ecu, then the problem lies there ?

No could be the connector(s) itself, or a problem in the loom (less likely but not unheard of).
