Hit and run

Post by bongogreenride » Tue Aug 27, 2019 7:48 pm

Just parked outside a SPAR shop. Came out just happened to notice a tourist driving away with tow bar on car.
Looked down at Henry Bongo as went past front, and saw someone had stoved the front in with a tow bar.
Broke the bumper, and moved the front strut back in one place, an inch near the radiators.
Has anyone any ideas, will this front strut be reparable by a garage?
Did not touch the radiator.

Bit of a late reply, but been away. If you mean the central vertical member in front of the radiator it should be a simple job to remove and bend or hammer back into shape once the bumper has been removed. Removing the bumper is also fairly straightforward - but be prepared for cutting corroded bolts!
