Changing fuel for e85 biofuel.

Post by knpenny » Mon Jul 22, 2019 9:57 pm

Hi there, does anyone have any thoughts, experience or advice on changing to e85 fuel?
Its basically a cheaper and more eco friendly form of petrol and runs about 100c lower temp through the cat with virtually no emissions.
A guy at work is using it on his megane mk3 rs and its pretty impressive. A gradual change of 10 Lt at a time and increasing each tank is what I've been advised.

Any thoughts before I give it a go, or not.
Thanks in advance

 wow, thanks for the response. That really helps, in terms of I'll be avoiding it like the plague and Ebola combined.
It makes a lot of sense what it written in terms of internal lubrication of certain parts.
Oh well, old and expensive fuel it is.
Thanks again
