Reversing mirror broke off.

Post by twidds » Wed Jul 17, 2019 5:00 pm

Been chancing it in the car wash over the years but this time the reversing mirror was broken off 😐 at the plastic mirror housing itself. Leaving the exposed bolt usually inside the mirror visible and looking fine.
Now I’ve ordered a new complete stem and mirror but do I really had to take the aerofoil off to get to the screws?
Adding if so , how.
Any advice please.

Yes as I recall, two allen bolts each side when you open up the rear door. then lift of slowly, releasing the brake light cable as you go.
