Updated tailgate struts ?

Post by elbee » Fri Jul 12, 2019 8:11 pm

Haven't been on here for ages . Had my bongo for 5 years now. Just fitted a Thule 973 bike rack ( bought second hand )

Fits great but tailgate now won't stay open due to extra weight of the rack . Any suggestions to get around this , maybe uprated telescopic struts?

Thanks folkes 🙂

Yes, very cool and probably makes more sense (and less £ and aggravation) than uprating the struts

They have proved very popular and I've had to order some more. Available in 3 colours, see https://bongoland.co.uk/product-categor ... or/page/2/

Have you considered a tow hitch with a bike rack that attached to it
