V6 MOT failure. High CO.

Post by Gaz_Bongo » Wed May 08, 2019 6:58 pm

Hi,

Just got her back after a failed MOT. Petrol V6. (1997)

Horn not working - didn't think to check. Worked last time I used her so I'm sure I can sort this easy enough.

Service brake efficiency below requirements - Rear foot brake. She brakes OK as far as I can tell but below req' on rear so I'll get a brake service done all round as I haven't time to complete myself.

Exhaust carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle exceeds limit - Any pointers folks? She has been fitted with new dizzy, HT leads, spark plugs and air filter

Limit is 0.300%
1st fast idle = 0.854%
2nd fast idle = 0.502%
