Hi all, just done one side, of my wishbone other side next week. If anyone is doing
there's I found that after removing wheel, remove brake carrier
compleat with calliper and tie up to spring. If you look at bottom
of back plate, there is a slot ,If you use tuning fork joint remover
upside down it fits around ball joint, and as you whack it, it slides
up w/b freeing joint (hopefully) I used 17 19 21mm sockets and
large bar, wire brush plenty of plusgas. Had to cut my nut off b/j
new w/b did not come with nut what a joke all that money and
no new nuts. Any body know where (who) sells them, going to
buy used ones from Bongo Spares. spent few hours looking no
luck, even Ford and Mazda could'nt help.

Thanks Les. Won't be doing mine until later in the year, but hands-on experience like this is always valuable.

Thank's Mark, I will be doing the other side after Easter, I will try and
get some photo's but not sure how to show them on here. I spent
hours knocking seven bells out of b/j then decided to use a bit
of grey matter, after looking at problem I saw the gap in back plate
tuning fork slides up w/b right under where b/j goes into w/b,
two whack's later EUREKA joint parted, had to butcher nut tho'.
Good luck when you do tour's

You really need to hit the Knuckle right on the nose the ball joint will drop out after one or two hits on target.
Take care.
