Hi Folks
My central locking has been temperamental for a while; working perfectly some days but I've had to lock/unlock doors one at a time on others. Now the drivers door is permanently locked and I can't unlock it from either inside or outside. Other doors open easily one at a time so I can climb over into the driver's seat, which is fun Any ideas on what needs to be done with the driver's door please? Thanks
Central locking

Re: Central locking
The central locking is driven from the drivers door alone, the central locking does NOT control the drivers door itself, when you turn the key in the door it operates a switch to signal to a control module to open/close all the other doors. It sounds as if your drivers door lock maybe the problem as such.
However it might be that your talking about using a Remote Key fob ? In which case the remote key fob ONLY operates an added solenoid in the drivers door, when this is triggered, it operates the door lock, which in turn operates the central locking for the other doors as above, basically Remote Fobs and Central Locking are two separate things.

Thanks Geoff, there is no remote, it's just a plain old-fashioned key.

Re: Central locking
Sounds like you have a mechanically faulty drivers door lock in that case.
