Engine temperature guage

Post by ognob » Thu Feb 07, 2019 6:37 pm

I am slightly paranoid / interested in monitoring engine temperate (not coolant)

Has anyone fitted one of these eBay specials that you bolt to the engine and get an lcd display in the cab of the current temp.

I’m not necessarily concerned with accuracy, but would like something that I can have as a bench mark so can identify when things start to go wrong.

Ideally I’d like stuff that is bolt on, not too tricky

Many thanks

You can't beat the TM2 alarm, which measures the running temp of the cylinder head. More expensive than the kits on eBay but worth the investment:

That does look good, but perhaps a bit steep for my budget. Do members of fury get any sort of discount?

Hi , you can buy temp gauges for very little money, I have fitted one that cost £5 two years ago and it is still going strong , personally I prefer to monitor the coolant temp with something like this in the top hose. Undoubtedly some people will disagree but I am going with experience.

Take care.

If you decide to go for a reasonably priced Coolant alarm, these have found to be very good value for your hard earned cash.

PS Thousands have been sold.

Take care
