So folks, 1) if you don't need to drain the system to fit the pipes.
2) Why will, as mikeonb4c, says they be draining an refilling system (yes can understand the will have to filll)
3) Yes, will get them to check tee piece and other areas.
4) As this garage is unfamiliar with Henry bongo will have to watch them like a hawk.
4) Where can I get tech stuff about correct procedure to fill auto gear box????
So many questions, sleepless nights.

This is from the ATF fact sheet in the members area of the main website

1. Remove the mounting bolts from front & side of pan.
2. Loosen the rear bolts and pry pan loose with screwdriver until it hangs down. This is so fluid can drain. Be very careful not to damage the transmission gasket surfaces.
3. Remove remaining bolts, pan & any gasket. Clean gasket surface. Drain fluid from pan. Clean with solvent and dry.
4. Remove the filter from the mount inside transmission; this is accessible when pan is removed. Clean filter and re-install (see below).
5. Tighten mounting bolt securely. Make sure gasket surface on transmission pan is clean.
6. Clean gasket and re-install (see below).
7. Replace pan, tighten each bolt a little at a time. Don't overtighten! Lower the vehicle off jacks and axle stands and add automatic transmission fluid through filler tube.
8. With transmission in park, handbrake on, run engine at fast idle. Move selector through gears. Check fluid level.
668. The Neighbour of The Beast.

The ATF pipes and the coolant pipes are two different circuits. What they have in common is metal pipes right next to each other in an exposed location underneath the car, so that they are both likely to suffer similar corrosion (from my experience). To be clear, you do NOT have to drain or interfere with the coolant system in any way (as far as i know anyway) to work on the ATF piping system/circuit, and vice versa. What I AM suggesting is that it could be worth replacing both sets of pipes at the same to avoid trouble down the road. And if you do that, then the coolant system WILL have to be drained, and, also, the ATF fluid will have to be refilled (though by clamping off rubber ATF pipes by the gearbox sump ATF loss can be minimised). :-)

Ahhhhhhh right ok. Got 2 pipes about 6ft long from club shop/Ian sold in a pair. So what they are may be the 2 pipes. Being a bit thickish here, and head gone, will take pipes to garage tomorrow and see if they know what they are doing. They mend police vehicle's, wonder if that's good or bad. Mmmmm we shall see. =D>
