Diagnostic memory

Post by davben23 » Wed Dec 26, 2018 11:30 am

Hi guys
Had the glow plug light flashing twice this year but always seems to clear by the time i've got home and it's been switched off for a while. My question is will the fault still be stored in the ECU memory if i use the method described in the fact sheet to retrieve ?
It only seems to happen if I have been on a incline for a longer duration ie on boost for a while. No other issues with running etc

Thanks in advance Dave

In most case if the light stops flashing then the error has gone and so has the error code. However there has been many variations of the years of the computer(s) so its possible that some versions do the store the code but I've never seen anyone report this, as otherwise you wouldn't know if the fault had been cleared.
