Hello.
I always bleed the cooling system with the nose up by about 10". Is this correct or should one go higher or lower?
What angle for bleeding the cooling system?

Re: What angle for bleeding the cooling system?
I've tried all ways and it doesn't really matter as the engine is already at a couple of Deg down at the rear, to marry up with the rear diff.
The exp tank and front heater are the highest points but it doesn't help the air leave the head as the top hose leaves the head then goes down, air doesn't like going down hill without a push from the water pump, or manual prime.

Thanks for the reply.
I tend to bleed twice yearly when changing the oil.
Once I thought I'd give it a really thorough go and get rid of even the smallest of the small air bubbles. All went well until the coolant boiled...
I go so far now as to check the air pressure before bleeding. Doubt it makes much difference but at least it means the weather tends to be good when I carry out the task.
