Key remote
My key fob is split and too much is missing for repair. Does anyone know if this is OEM or aftermarket? It does control the central locking so can one of those aftermarket replacements be programmed to replace it?
Re: Key remote
Mine does not look like the one in your picture. My fob is seperate to the Mazda key, I am guessing yours is aftermarket.

Re: Key remote
Thanks. Is yours 2 button? The reason for my confusion is that the Mazda key sits inside the shell suggesting OEM.
Think I may have to take the door card off and have a look in there. There are coding instructions for Mazda 626, B2000, 3, 6 etc but no idea if they work for Japanese market stuff.

Re: Key remote
I found this in one of my Bongo documents:
It shows my key type with a part number C901 V 7 601
That comes up as an RX-7 key as well as Bongo Friendee. Now I have to work out how to get one.

Re: Key remote
So is ours. We only have one remote - the spare /second set of keys came without. The next question or bit of research is how to you programme it to 'talk' to your vehicle? (maybe that's not someting to share on the net incase the wrong person codes a fob for our Bongos).

Re: Key remote
My key looks like the one in your original photo - black with2 buttons - big grey unlock button and black lock button. It came apart and I have glued it together which is OK but will not be when the battery packs up because I'll have to break it again. I followed up your part number and found one on a Japanese website https://www.monotaro.com/g/00584116/?at ... 901-V7-601 which looks as if it is selling them but I can't read Japanese.
Have you managed to source one?

Not yet. I've found a few vendors but they won't ship here (just Vietnam, Thailand, etc). I'm trawling the Japanese sites too but no luck yet. It was also used on the RX-7 not that that is helping.Have you managed to source one?
I Sugru'd mine back together but I have the same problem as you when it needs a battery. If I find one I'll let you know but the best option would be knowing someone who has a friend in one of those countries on the shipping list.
