Re: Oil capacity 2.0 litre Petrol
Just replaced the HT leads, Distributor cap and rotor arm, my plugs were new 3K miles ago and van has done 43K miles. The service history with the van from previous owner stated the rotor arm only was replaced in October 2016, have to say looking at it, I think that is highly unlikely. Why just the rotor arm and not the cap too? Some Garages must be ripping off their customer's, basically it is just theft. Anyway I am happy as the van feels more responsive and tickover feels smoother too; maybe psychological Thanks for the part numbers.

Re: Oil capacity 2.0 litre Petrol
I had the same with mine. Full service history from specialist but no detail as to what was replaced. Distributor and rotor arm looked like original Mazda and with 116K miles on it you can imagine what they looked like inside
When I changed them, the tickover rose by 100rpm without doing anything else and the strange stumbling when coming off revs disappeared.
I wonder if this is modern servicing regimes being applied to older engines? Cap and arm used to be consumable items and were changed with the spark plugs but modern tackle is distributorless so perhaps it is ignored. May also explain the 12K mile oil changes which are too long for my taste.
Anyway, glad you got it sorted and although this stuff is probably well documented, here are some more parts and what I paid:
Alternator V-Belt AVX13X1025 1025mm x 13mm £5
Aircon belt 6PK1163 1163mm 6 Ribs £9
Oil filter MANN W67/1 £5 (there are cheaper ones but I'm partial to the Germans for this)
Timing Belt kit with rollers and tensioner BluePrint ADM57321 £50
Water Pump BluePrint ADM59111 £30
Plugs BKR5E £7 Set 4
Rotor Arm MAZDA E SERIES 2.0 99 to 01 FE(12V) Distributor ADL B6BF18V05 £16
Ditributor Cap INTERMOTOR 46965 £11
Cam and crank front seals are generic rotary shaft, size: 34X48X7mm R23 £2.50 each.
