Removing Alloy wheels

Post by Eratosthenes » Tue Sep 04, 2018 7:15 pm

Having had problems in the past, can anyone suggest a good way of removing stuck alloy wheelsf other than an almighty rubber hammer?
I have heard that jacking up and removing wheel nuts, then laying on you back kicking alternate sides of the tire with the base of your feet works?

I'd loosen, rather than remove, the nuts, and consider using an axle stand.

Thanks for the comments - so kicking is the way, better warn my neighbours in case they think I am having a funny turn or tantrum.
