Hi guys,
I need some help with these fault codes as bit confused. I jumped gnd and tat to give me transmission codes but got allsorts flashing on hold light.
Transmission:
64. 3-2 timing solenoid valve.
What does this do? Is it part of solenoid pack?
ABS:
11. Right front wheel speed sensor or rotor.
Weird as the ABS fuse is missing so would have thought whole lot would fail.
Engine:
9. Water Thermosensor (EGI).
What and where is this?
No idea:
36. *Not on list*
I checked it 3 times and got 2 other people to check too. Definitely 36 flash code.
Any help much appreciated.

Transmission fault code 64 is also known as "Pressure Control Solenoid". It's included in the pack (I think) and can be obtained from https://mazdabongo.com/catalog/mazda-bo ... ic-models/

It's a 1996 model SGL5.
The front fans don't do a great deal unless they are on full. I read on here that there is a replacement resistor I believe. Could that be the fault?
Do you know how to clear old fault codes as I don't want to chase my tail over faults that are no longer relevant.

This is how to reset the fault codes
1)Remove the wire from the negative terminals for at least 20 seconds. 2) Click on the brake pedal and release. 3)Re-connect negative battery terminal. 4) Start engine, and run for 3 minutes at 2,000 rpm idle.
Yes, it sounds like a new resistor may be required. There are 2 types. One for slide control aircon, one for digital climate control. You will find them in the Bongoland shop at https://bongoland.co.uk/product-category/electrics/

Are you referring to the Rad cooling fans or the heater blower?

I meant the front cab heaters. Rad fans are fine.

The air-con fan has a habit of corroding up as overspill water from the window screen falls down directly on top of it. First clear out the drainage pipe from the window screen. second remove the fan and give it a good through clean as per these pictures
and whilst your at it also give the cooling matrix a clean as well as all the air passes thru it and it gets clogged up!

I'll add that to the list of things to do once it stops overheating. Until then the boiling over is my main concern.
Back to transmission... Does anyone know if the solenoids can be cleaned? Does the ECU report error if they don't open properly, ie. if they're blocked, or does it just report electrical faults such as open circuit and wrong resistance?
