that turbo give more torgue at "medium rpm", now that man instal MT too...what need ask?

Reports from long ago by owners of manual gearbox diesel Bongos have suggested the engine seems to be working at too high an rpm at motorway speeds so your observations fit with that. An amazing project regardless!

what "rear gear" at that bus? 43/9 use at 2WD and 41/10 at 4WD bongo, 41/11 2WD MPV (1995)

Thanks for the pictures Cutlass. I will take a look at that turbo when I start the an engine build next year.

Are we thinking that there are different rear diffs/ratio's available? I have not idea yet what the differing ratios mean, but it sounds interesting!

Thanks Mike! I quite like tinkering with the Bongo. It's good fun. Less pressure when it's just a rec vehicle and not critical transport.

Always very impressed by this kind of work. I love home maintenance but this type of project is beyond my skill zone. Not wanting to hyjack the thread I read about someone shoe honing a Lexus 4.0 Ltr V8 into their Bongo ( or should that be bonGO...). Impressive or what. :shock:
