Brake Calipers

Post by TheHillsAreCalling » Fri Nov 10, 2017 1:10 pm

The brakes on my 2001 2.5l Diesel need a lot of TLC including replacement of both front calipers and one of the rear ones.

The replacement parts database mentions that ADM54860 and ADM54861 are OK for the front ones, but doesn't say what model of Bongo. Can I assume that they're the same on all of them?

Also, any suggestions for what could be used for the rear one (driver's side IIRC)?

Many thanks in advance,
Phil

Phil,

You will struggle to find the Blueprint (ADM) calipers now as they have been discontinued. Instead, we have managed to source some other after market calipers, including the rears, and you will find them in the Bongoland shop. The calipers will fit all years and all types of Bongos. See https://bongoland.co.uk/product-category/brakes/

Many thanks Ian - I'll send the link to the mechanic and hopefully you'll see an order come through in a week or two (he's got some welding to sort out first).

if you want rebuild rear brake - you may use next parts -piston: Autofren D02575 (use on Toyota Harrier, Kluger и Lexus RX....), sealing o-ring: BBP 15155 (universal), guide pin: Frenkit 808008 (use on Pajero II....) ...for front brake I use FEBEST 0575LWF
