Great news indeed. Any car can easily throw a £700 bill these days, but not many offer so much back as a Bongo. I take mine to Adrian at Japandirect in Bury every year for an inspection and work. Its about to have two more bits of welding done on the cills and i am happy to spend to keep on top of the (inevitable) age related corrosion, and mechanical stuff, as no other car will do for me what the Bongo does. :-)

Ain't that the truth? I had the clutch done on my work car a few weeks ago, was the thick end of a grand.

To the op - I hope you've got away without having to replace the head/gasket, if so - well done! It looks like you may have got off lightly.

please - show me - where you byu " head cylinder" at £1800??? :shock: it cost max $300, all gaskets cost $ 50 + delivery tax - $100-150....
