Hi,
I have just purchased the MANN OIL FILTER W610/7 at euro car parts with plan to do an oil change today. The overall size of the newly purchased filter seems much larger than the original filter I put on 6 months ago.
Is it possible that although the new filter's overall size is larger, the thread will be the same and fit nicely?
Many thanks!

Its a bit late now I guess you have started.. but it sound a bit suspect. I put a Bosch one on our Diesel.
If you have a diesel the mann one looks rather different to the one I have... as my rubber seal ring is on the inside of the metal
edge by some margin... is this looking like the one you have..? Also diesel or petrol variant ?

My diesel one looks like this...

What vehicle do you have ???, presuming its a 2.5td I think you have the wrong filter.

When I bought a filter for our 2.5TD from Euro Car Parts there are two listed on the website, I ordered the cheaper one but when I picked it up it was way too small, it's listed as an M20 thread. They got the other one (Crossland) off the shelf and it was right, M26 thread and the correct part.

Re: Oil Filter type
i bought 4 diesel engine filters from them a while ago, 2 oil and 2 fuel filters. some had been opened by at least one previous purchaser and the copper washers were missing and all were the wrong filters.
be very careful with euro cp when buying for a diesel bongo .

Yes I am a great believer in supporting your corner shop, and they have very good prices.
