Starter motor contacts -winter pack

Post by ADAMD » Mon Nov 21, 2016 1:57 pm

Hi All,
It looks like my the starter motor contacts are going on my Bongo.
I understand that the vehicles with the winter pack fitted have different starter with a different contact arrangement.
Has anyone had success at getting parts to refurbish these starters, or can they just be cleaned up?
I would be grateful for any advise,

Thanks,

Adam

Check the starter and make sure that its a solenoid type first, if so you can get them from,

Hi, I've also got the winter pack. What were the symptoms that led you to think the contacts were going? Mine has an intermittent fault where it clicks and buzzes but doesn't start/turn. The workaround is to disconnect and reconnect the battery?

Thanks
