Bongo 4wd refurb *DO NOT DELETE*

Post by Bongolia » Wed Sep 28, 2016 1:33 pm

Ok so now I have a means of getting images viewable I thought I would post the link on here so peeps could take a look at the job.
I have not found a way to order them as yet so I will just dump them on Photo bucket and up load new pics as I go along and stick a post on here when I have added more pics.
Also there are pics of the roof sleeping deck alterations in my other Bongo Aero 2.0Ltr.
Hope these will be of some use to other BF peeps out there.

After much faffin abaht wiv Photobucket I have got me ed round it , a bit!
Still not got how to present them in order but it makes a little more sense and I have put them in folders now so I can upload into the correct folder.
Problem I had with "description" was if I reordered them then I lost the description. So I renamed the files to reflect the operation and now I cannot see the file names on PB! Hey Ho.
Still its better than it was and when I am not welding in bits of metal I will turn my attention to ordering the images.
As the other images hadn't loaded up as they should have I have deleted the lot and started again.
Front wheel house and closing panel are fixed in and chassis leg flange also.
The strut turret and flitch repair panels are pinned in and I await the arrival of some weld through zinc Monday.

Off to pub!

Looking forward to following this excellent sounding restoration - you may end up having a new career.....should you wish it

Do I have to update the link each time I add images? Does anyone know?

I know if you link to a specific photo and update the photo the link can get broken, dunno about a link to an album and wouldn't seem logical. Link wasn't working for me either but stripped off stuff from the URL and could reach your library etc ok.
I've selected one of your pics randomly and seems to display here ok ...

Chris, can you post the stripped url?
Each time I click it goes straight to it. Probably recognizes me as the poster.

It sort of works now except before i can get to the album my phone chrome session gets hijacked by the grimmest pop up roulette wheel phone vibrate that won't close. I've had the occasional hijack when using chrome to visit BF website, but this is much worse. So i think i must give up on photobucket until/unless i can find a way to remove the offending adcrap grrrrrrr.

Put the link to the pic in between the IMG tags

Your post in the edit looks like (without the code quote bit)

Code: Select all

Here is my rusty bit
[img]http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r606/Bongolia/Bongo%204WD/A%20pillar/20120106_085356_zps3wzb6mva.jpg[/img]
The link text between the img tags is copy/pasted from photobucket. I use the direct link option in photobucket.

The above displays as

Here is my rusty bit
Image

But I tried another one of your pics and got an error that it was more than 768 pixels high.

Chris. dazed and confused.
i think I need to get it to link to the Photobucket album else I am going to need to post each individually. That would take longer than the repair :D .
