The part number is MB166582 ..

So, is it 19 35 7, like this:

http://malkom.eu/MB166582

Which could make it this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oil-Seal-TC- ... SwMFFbpL~w

Or this lot who I've used for years:

https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/advan ... eywords3=7

But I'll defer to mikexgough as it's probably a strange lip or something.

not the design
Fair enough but the design on a rotary shaft seal is the 'R' number. R23, R21 etc denotes lip, wiper, single, double (there's loads of 'em). 'tis an international standard :D

I'm really new to the Bongo world. My power steering works intermittently moving towards hardly working at all. When I steer left to any degree, it also makes a groaning sound. Does that mean its running low on oil? Where do I put more oil in? Is it time to change oil seals? Might it be a problem with the steering rack???

The reservoir tank is under the drivers seat mounted on the chassis by your right hand when facing the engine.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread but I also have a steering rack leak and looks like the top seal issue too, does Mike still do the seal alone does anyone know? Is he contactable as it looks like hes not been on the forum for a couple of years?

He is a regular on FB as Mike Gough is in most of the Bongo Groups. He hasn't left yet either ;-) https://www.facebook.com/groups/MazdaBo ... 981260733/

Cheers all, seems some variation in price there, assuming they are all actually definitely the same?

Anyway, have sent a message to Mike on the Facebook group so he should hopefully see it soonish.

So Mike sorted me out and today I thought I'd make a start, which I have but come to a stop as my cheapo circlip pliers are crap so buying some better ones which will hopefully come tomorrow.

One thing though, the rubber dustcover you remove to see the cirlip was just sat there loose, is that normal as I would have expected it to be a bit tighter to form more of a dirt seal?
