Just pop into any car accessory shop (even poundland) and ask for a 12volt 21/5 watt stop tail bulb (2 for £1 in pound shops) ..

Very simple job ... (or Halfrauds will charge to change them) ..

Just remove the two Phillips (X) screws and push the lens to the the outer edge of the Bongo to allow it slide to slide off the 'lugs' ..

They also fit neatly on the top shelf of the dishwasher ..

I like the idea of putting my rear light units in the dishwasher. Is it effective at getting old green algae out etc and does it need to be on a lower temp setting so plastic doesn't complain. Assume you put dishwasher tablet in as normal?

For plastics I just do it as a quick wash with one dishwasher tablet ..

If I clean Motor bike parts I tend to put a good 'splash' of brick cleaner (hydrochloric acid) and use a full hot wash .. is as well as it super cleans alloy parts ...
