Electric window switches the wrong way round!

Post by Ricey » Sun Jun 22, 2014 12:30 pm

Hi guys,

an odd issue! The window switches on the drivers door are wired up the wrong way round!!

I've had a quick search and couldn't see anything, so...

The switches on the drivers door control the opposite windows - the left (innermost) one controls the driver's side and the outer one does the passenger side. As a knock on the 'Auto' function works on the passenger side!

What is the best/easiest way to swap them over? Not sure how or when it was done this way, but it's a fresh import so I can only guess - in Japan???

thanks all

Its because an early switch is fitted to a later model or round the other way, late switch early model. easily rectified, pull switch and chop the wiring about
