Where is my bleed pipe, it's missing

Hi All

I have been in discussion with a number of people on here for doing a coolant change and installing the coolant alarm/temp gauge

I've been studying this picture trying to find the coolant bleed pipe but I just don't have it.


I don't even have the port on the head for it.


Was there an updated had used as this has obviously had a new head. Can anyone give me a pointer on bleeding this system

That will be a Ford Ranger head - as they have a more conventional position for the engine, there is no bleed pipe or port.

No idea myself how you will bleed it - you could use a vacuum fill system to fill it without the need to bleed though.

(Only advisable if you are 100% sure that there is nothing wrong with the cooling system)

Oh Joy, i'm wondering if a junction added to the T-Piece will do it? or if a port could be added to the head?

I was really looking forward to owning this but now worried I might have bought a dufer.

Just done a bit of searching and it seems this is not actually that uncommon.

is it really just as simple as swapping the 2 branch t for a 3 branch?

or can a t be added to the small pipe running to the turbo?

Speak to Ady / Northern Bongalow, he has experience of bleeding these I believe.

no i dont have a business sorry.
when i do these i just add a tee piece and bleed pipe to the turbo pipe, it works well, fit it near the head end.
use the proper clips too, dont use cheap jubliee type clips.

Bled mine via the turbo coolant pipe, the rubber pipe fits nicely inside a length of hose pipe then wedge the funnel in the top of the hose, wear thick rubber gloves and hold your thumb over the metal pipe coming out of the turbo.
