What is this wire.

Post by kingbillybongo » Sun Oct 06, 2013 9:54 am

Dangling in the middle behind grill,wondered if it's a feed for fogs or spots but no power to it,unless a fuse has been left out until needed?
Can any one help identify this wire?thanks. :roll:

There are several wires behind the grill, some are for testing, some are spots (other items not fitted fuse/relay/switch etc).

It had a plug and blanking plug on a 2wire cable clipped behind the front grill?

What colours are the wires ? Violet and Black are the Front Fog lights.
and located here E2-03 & E2-04

Or it maybe ABS test sockets on 1/2 sockets with Black, White/red & Green/Black as the colours O-09;

If it's on the central vertical brace behind the grille, then it's a temperature sensor for the air con.

Humm, what year and type of controls do you have;

The front air temp. sensor G3-12 is Red/Green and Yellow/Black, maybe your missing seeing the green trace on the red, actually I see now that you say it has a blanking plug - I think you might find the "blank" is the sensor itself!
