Heater Fan and Air Con
Totally new to Bongos so any help much appreciated. My heater fan is not working and with that no AC. Tried the rear heating but the same, and I have put the rear switch to on. Hot air is coming through when driving and the slide switches are working.
Whats the first thing I need to look at?.

Re: Heater Fan and Air Con
Possibly the heater fan resistor and/or the actual heater motor (accessible from under the bonnet) could be
full of crud.

Many thanks for the help. Lots to try out over the weekend.
Just one question, How can you tell if a fuse has blown? Does it change colour?.

When you get the module out and opened up you will see that the fuses have melted there connection and sprung open, they can be re-soldered back closed.
Re: Heater Fan and Air Con
Put in a new resister, checked fuses and fan motor. All worked well for a minute then stopped?. Checked everything again couldn't see anything wrong. Could there be an electrical wire fault somewhere?.
Re: Heater Fan and Air Con
resistor blowes as fans overloading it
you need to clean and lube fan first

Re: Heater Fan and Air Con
if you manually set fan on high it should still work as its feed 12v and by passes transistor

Re: Heater Fan and Air Con
Not if its the older type with manual sliders as is suggested in the first post. If it is the older type the speed is controlled by the resistor pack alone, and they will blow again if the motor does not spin freely.
