Hi all...Im sure these questions have been covered, but ive tried one thing now its confusing!!!
My FRONT fan didnt work on 3 and 4 setting(Manual type system) Motor was running slow compared to the the other bongo heater motors ive had...The motor seized..I stripped it down and changed the contacts as good as new!! (thanks to all fellow bongoers for the help)
All 4 settings were working but still the motors didint seem to be as strong as previous bongos!!!!
O.k now the heater does not work all together!!! not on ANY setting!!! HELP!!!
Am i right in saying that the only thing left to try is the diodes or something??? Any diagrams or help would be great!!!

Re: heater fan! caput
I think your referring to the air con fans rather than the radiator fans ?
In which case check the connector on the rear of the internal control unit, assuming its the manual type. Other wise check the resistor pack under the bonnet, it might have dirty contacts.

Re: heater fan! caput
Hi Dave!! Thanks soo much for the pictures and extensive info!!! Im pretty confident it will only be the resistor pack or a fuse as i took out the fan when it was rusted about 3 months ago (the vehicle hasnt moved since then lol) only used the fan a couple of times... A auto electrical mate at work cleaned out the fan windings as shown in your pictures and we put in a new set of contacts as they were well worn!! fan was working on each 1-4 settings but the fans speed still sounded slow compared to the previous bongos ive had!! I wonder what that may be???
Is it just a case of the windings being too old to opperate properly even when cleaned etc??
