Whining Steering
Hi all.
Bongo has developed a whine from engine bay that seems to change with engine speed but seems to start when on full lock.
Power steering pump? A brief google doesn't seem to support the existance of such a thing for a Bongo though.
Otherwise, tensioner, belt or...
Thanks!
It's a 96 diesel auto for reference

Re: Whining Steering
Must be a very slight leak as still ok several weeks on. Still keeping an eye on it
Re: Whining Steering
I had a similar problem with my PAS.
I have been topping up with "Lucas Stopleak".
Leak seems to have stopped, however this was supposed to be a stopgap until the better weather.
I did not fancy changing the steering rack in the "P - - sing Rain".

Re: Whining Steering
I love this forum, just what I was looking for, whining steering and dodgy PAS, thank you.
