flashing airbag light

hi all.i have had my airbag light come on recently a few times,whilst driving.it goes off as normal,but when driving it occasionally comes back on.it will flash 6 times then go off.it will sometimes just do one cycle of this,sometimes more.any ideas?thankyou.jamie

Usually the clockspring behind the steering wheel, that breaks contact as you turn the wheel past a certain point

Agree..... fairly common issue on most cars..... especially early air bag cars... they are getting old and worn now...
