My bongo has just overheated. Once. Been told that the cylinder head is cracked Wondered if any one else has been in this position, and if so what do I do next. Any ideas on what it will cost to fix. My mechanic says he did one last year and its a pig to do,and if I asked him to do it he would tell me to get lost. Any advice would be grand

Re: Overheating!
As I recall my replacement head and fitting cost the best part of £1500. Not nice news.

Welcome to the forum - not the best first post
As fatcatlawyer says, you are looking at around £1300 - £1500 for a decent replacement, unless you can do it yourself.
It may be cheaper to get a replacement engine, but it'll still be around £1000.

Re: Overheating!
I think there is a cylinder head for sale on the for sale page I don’t know if its what you need but could save you a few pounds and you will get some free advise from the seller.
