Fuse for brake lights

Post by Dave & Bren » Sat Dec 06, 2008 12:15 pm

How do you remove a fuse from the fuse box. They seem to be stuck in there. The brake lights have gone and I think the fuse needs changing. I have tried new bulbs but that wasn'tthe problem

There should be a little (yellow) tool in the bottom part of the fuse box that grips them, or use some pliers to grip them.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

At least it's SUPPOSED to... :? I discovered that the tool works better if you wedged the end of a flat ended screwdriver in at a jaunty angle in the "open, non fuse end".

Remember you can test the brakelights with ignition off.

get some one to check if the brake light in the spoiler works when the brake lights supposed to be on

if that works and the brake lights on the bongo dont then its the brake light switch under the brake pedal
you can get them off ebay

If it is the switch, it probably just needs cleaning or moving/adjusting, can't remember what the bongo one looks like, but the one on my old espace had to be adjusted once or twice.
