Roof bars/rack

Post by Streatwise » Fri Jun 18, 2021 10:47 am

Dear all bongonaughts

I am thinking of getting roof bars/rack/cage on my N reg bongo.
Now on tbe pop top are 4 bolt holes that look to me like attachments for said bars.
Does anyone know about these and if so where I could get my hands on some and the attaching bolts. Had a search online but just seem yo find generic roof racks.

Cheers

Some details here https://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum ... 96#p717496 but at present there seems to be a dearth of availability, could perhaps try the Irish connection ?

Thanks for that

Have messaged the chap who posted about the Irish connection...
Failing that I'm sure I could make some, would just need the fixing bolts..

Pretty certain there 8mm but not sure on thread pitch either 1 or 1.5 I believe but can't find the post that specified it.
https://www.google.com/search?q=aft+bol ... nard.co.uk
Everybody says just M8 so can only assume standard pitch of 1
